United Site Services Acquires Southern Maryland Sanitation

Mansfield, Massachusetts March 21, 2002

United is pleased to announce it has acquired Southern Maryland Sanitation, Inc. and Southern Maryland Trailer Rentals, Inc. ("Southern Maryland Sanitation ") located in Mechanicsville, Maryland. This is the first acquisition by United in the greater District of Columbia metropolitan market. Southern Maryland Sanitation is one of the largest portable toilet companies in the greater Washington, D.C. market, and will act as the operations "hub" for future acquisitions. Southern Maryland Sanitation has the largest fleet of restroom trailers in the marketplace, and services a significant portion of the special events in the D.C. area.

The prior owner, Bernie Bailey, will remain with United during a period of integration to ensure a smooth transition. Tony Bailey, the son of the former owner, has been retained by United to serve as Operations Manager for the division. United is excited by this recent entrance into its seventh major metropolitan market, and welcomes all the employees of Southern Maryland Sanitation.
