Trained for Excellence in Hurricane Relief Efforts

When disaster strikes, rapid and reliable support is essential for helping first responders and impacted communities. United Site Services understands the urgency of these moments. As a national leader in temporary site services, we go beyond traditional support by training our teams through a specialized Hurricane Simulation Program—ensuring they’re always ready to assist where it matters most.

While we don’t create or operate full hurricane restoration camps ourselves, we partner with emergency management firms and recovery teams that lead those efforts. Our role is to provide the essential sanitation infrastructure—restrooms, showers, handwashing stations, and more—that helps first responders, field crews, and displaced families stay healthy and safe during recovery.

Collaborating for Emergency Response Success

Each disaster is unique, and so is our response. We work closely with our partners to understand their specific needs and develop tailored plans that ensure efficient delivery and ongoing service for critical sanitation equipment. From portable restrooms and showers to temporary holding tanks and roll-off dumpsters, our products are key to maintaining comfort, hygiene, and order during crisis response.

For us, “disaster response” doesn’t always mean large-scale camps—it could be a business, home, or community that’s lost access to clean water or restrooms and needs immediate support. Regardless of the situation, we’re ready. Read our other blog on Hurricane Safety Tips for more information to help you prep for the next season.

The United Site Services Difference

Building a Prepared Team

Our emergency response teams go through hands-on training to ensure they’re ready to move quickly and efficiently when called upon. The Hurricane Simulation Program brings together branch teams to work across equipment types—trailers, Hydroflow Sanitation Systems, and other core products—preparing them to meet the real-world challenges of disaster environments.

Supporting Relief Camp Setup

When a restoration or emergency management company sets up a base camp, our team mobilizes to provide the sanitation and waste management infrastructure that keeps operations running smoothly. While we’re not responsible for creating or running the camp itself, our role is critical to its success. We follow a detailed setup process to ensure restrooms, showers, handwashing stations, and trailers are placed safely and serviced consistently.

Skilled Team & Equipment Knowledge

Our crew is made up of experienced operators and technicians who are trained to handle various terrains and conditions. They work closely with partner teams to place and level equipment, connect temporary plumbing and power, and restock supplies as needed. Common USS-supplied equipment includes:

Ongoing Training for On-the-Ground Success

Even after setup, the training continues. While staying onsite during simulated disaster scenarios, team members receive additional instruction in trailer maintenance, heating systems, and problem-solving skills. This ensures we can respond to real-time issues during deployments and support ongoing needs without delay.
